π Definition Procedure Text " How To Make " π
How to do is Inform or instruct the readers to make something.
π Purpose Procedure Text " How To Make " π
The purpose is to tell the reader how to make something. The information is presented in logical sequence of events that are broken into steps.
Example : step of activities, tips or tricks, treatments, etc.
π« 1. Imperative sentence π«
Imperative sentence, is a form of sentence used to give orders (command), warning, instructions, advice, as well as requests.
Basically, the imperative sentence will not find the subject of the sentence, because the subject "you" as the recipient of the command is already implied in it.
π There is also a negative imperative that serves to show that we not allowed to do anything.
π Examples imperative sentence : π
π’Add a glass of coconut milk into a pan and then boil it.
π’Do not spray water on the control panel of the washing machine.
π’Remove the toner cartridge carefully.
π’Serve it warmly in the rice bowl
π« 2. Must and Mustn't π«
•》Must is used to express that we have to do something important
example : You must press the on button to start the machine.
•》Mustn't is used to express that we are forbidden to do something.
example : You musn't refill the ink before it runs out.
π« 3. Sentence Connectors for Telling Actions in Order. π«
Connectors are used to join groups of words, both phrases and sentence. You can use these connectors to link paragraphs to be coherent.
Example :
" How to make a glass of Orange juice. "
1. First, cut the orange in half pieces and remove the seeds.
2. Second, grip the one half of the orange tightly and squeeze it by hand,using a plain juicer to get out it is best to use an electric orange juicer,as you will get much more juice from the orange and into the glass.
4. Next, scrape the orange with a spoon and add fruit directly to juice if you use a hand juicer for more pulpy you prefer clear juice, pour the juice through a strainer before drinking.
5. Finally, drink and enjoy a cold glass of freshly squezeed orange juice.
π« 4. Adverbs π«
Adverb is a word that describes a verb, adjective or adverb other. An adverb usually consists of an adjective + ly.
example : slowly, suddenly, strongly.
π How to Create Procedure Text π
1. Determine the theme of the procedure text that you want to create.
Tips, start with the sentence "how to make ..." or "how to use ..." in determining the theme as well as jugul procedure text.
Make sure the activity that we are going to make procedure text is an easy activity and we know or have done it.
☆ example : "How to Make Coffee."
2. Think about the materials and tools used.
In making coffee, we need ingredients such as : water, ground coffee, and sugar. While the tools for making coffee are spoons, cups, stoves, and pots.
3. After we record the materials and tools needed, we write down the steps in making coffee, starting from the first and the last.
1. First, we will boil the air in making coffee. To make hot air we need water, a stove and a pot.
2. Second, while waiting for hot air, we usually prepare the coffee. In preparing coffee we need coffee grounds, sugar, spoons, and cups.
3. Third, after the water has boiled, look at the water in the beaker where the coffee and sugar are added.
4. Finally, we usually stir the coffee so that the mixture is evenly distributed.
4. After the 3 steps above have been completed, prepare a dictionary. Write down the words you don't know English.
☆ example : cooking air, stove, stir, spoon
5. After everything is ready, we create a language by making a title first which we take from the theme we specified in the first step.
☆ example : The title is "How to Make a Cup of Coffee".
6. After writing the title, include the materials and tools used. You could write, 'To make a cup of coffee, we need ground coffee, sugar, water, a cup, a spoon, a frying pan, and a stove.
7. After writing down the materials and tools used, we write down the steps.

1. Here are some steps to making a cup of coffee.
2. Which is then continued with the steps that we formulated in the 3rd stage above.
3. Like, 'first, boil water in a pot using the stove. Prepare coffee grounds and sugar in a cup. Pour the boiled water into the cup.
4. Finally, stir and serve.

- Put cheese, sliced onions, lettuce, cucumber slices on bread.
- Put the meat that have been fried over the bread.
- Put the bread again.
- Finally, place the burger in the plate and it is ready to be served.
